Hello, dear friend. Welcome back to week two in our series, “THE HOLY SPIRIT.” Today’s message is the “Meaning of Pentecost.” Let’s refer to our key scripture,

(Acts 10:1-2) While Apollos was at Corinth. Paul took the road through the interior. He took a shortcut and arrived at Ephesus there. He found some disciples and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? They said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit. “

Now, many people don’t know the Holy Spirit, or they don’t know what the Holy Spirit will do for them. People perish for lack of knowledge and people miss out on God and all that God has because they do not know His Word.  Many people know God, the Father, they know Jesus Christ, but not many people know the Holy Spirit. Our desire is for you to know the Holy Spirit.  If you haven’t watched Holy Spirit Breath of Fresh Air pt.1, go back and watch it, then come back to this. In part one, we laid the foundation of the nature of the Spirit.

Let’s look at the Jewish holidays fulfilled.

(Matthew 5:17) Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.

Jesus did not come to abolish the law or try and stop the law. He came to fulfill it. Let’s look through these three different holidays and see what did Jesus did and what He is still doing?

First, the Passover, the Passover represents salvation.

Do you remember in the book of Exodus when the children of Israel were in Egypt? God sent plagues to Egypt. The last plague, the tenth plague, was that every first -born male child had to die. The way God saved the Israelites in Goshen, was that they had to go slay a blameless lamb and take the blood, (which is symbolic of the blood of Jesus) and sprinkle it or smear it on the front door post of their homes.

When the angel of death was going through, and he saw the blood, he passed them over. That’s the idea, that’s what happened. We see Jesus fulfilling this holiday when it comes. He’s not abolishing it, but he’s fulfilling it. Now we see in, in the Old Testament, what was a type or a shadow. Now we see the fulfillment of it in the New Testament.

1 Corinthians chapter 5:7, “for Christ is our Passover lamb.”

Now we don’t have to take the animals and slaughter them anymore because Christ is our Passover lamb that has been sacrificed. The law and the prophets is being fulfilled in the work of Jesus. When Jesus comes, he’s fulfilling it.  We see that Jesus is our Passover lamb. He is our Savior. His blood does not cover our sin, but washes our sin,

(Ephesians 2:8-9) “for it is by grace, you have been saved through faith. And if this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast.”

You have been saved. Do you remember, the blood of the blameless lamb that was put on the doorpost that saved the Israelites? When the angel of death saw the blood, he passed them over.  Today the blood of Jesus that was shed at Calvary, saved us. Now He became our Passover lamb, He died in our name and in our place.

His precious blood now, not only covers our sin, but washes our sins away, brings us the freedom, the, the protection, the deliverance from the enemy. We are covered in the blood of Jesus.

We are hidden in the blood of Jesus and that is why we talk a lot about this power in the blood, precious friend.  There is so much power in the blood of Jesus. As a matter of fact, in my book, Catch and Release, God’s Supernatural. I call it the greatest key to the kingdom. Of all the keys of the kingdom, the blood of Jesus is the greatest.

The first time I heard the audible voice of God. I looked and I was completely alone. Nobody was in the room. I was in a secluded place by myself, fasting and praying. I heard the voice of God, calling me by my name and asking me

“Andrew, Andrew, Andrew, do you know what the devil fears the most?” (I did not know until later that it was the voice of God.)  I thought, “What does the devil fear the most?  Is it the name of Jesus?”  And He said, “Yes, he fears the name of Jesus, but do you know what he fears the most? And I said, “The Word? The Holy Spirit” The Lord said, “Yes, He fears those, too, but do you know what He fears the most? He fears the blood because everything else works based on the blood.”

As a matter of fact, the Holy Spirit works based on the blood.

(1 John 5:7-8) ” There are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. On earth, it is the Spirit, the water and the blood, all those three agree as one.”

if you’re going to see the work of the word and of the Holy Spirit, you better have the blood of Jesus. That’s how crucial, that’s how powerful and Jesus has shed his blood. He became our Passover lamb and shed his blood in our name and in our place so that we can have access.

Dear friend, I don’t know how many demons I have cast out of people through the blood of Jesus. Or how many battles with witches and warlocks I have won because of the power of the blood! How many lives have been changed? How many shrines that I have burned down and they have repented and confessed Christ because of the blood of Jesus. In a few minutes before, they wanted to kill me. They’ were giving me ultimatumsSuddenly, I apply the blood of Jesus and, all the snakes, voodoo and all their stuff fall dead to the ground by the power of Almighty God. Phew! I feel the anointing right now.

Dear friend, remember Jesus is our Passover lamb and with the power of the blood of Jesus He has purchased us. You and I are saved, not because we try to be good people or good Christians. No, it’s all based on the blood of Jesus that was shared at Calvary’s cross. When we accept what Jesus did, then we can receive the blessings of God: the gifts, the work, the power, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The second holiday that was fulfilled is Pentecost. In Pentecost, we are given power to make a difference.

We can complicate things about Pentecost. It was just a holiday. Pentecost is fifty days after the resurrection of Christ. They were celebrating but, on that day, they were gathered in one room in one place, fifty days after resurrection.  They were celebrating Moses being given the ten commandments. Now Jesus comes on the day of Pentecost to write the law of God on their hearts. Laws that they cannot fulfill on their own as much as you try but Jesus is giving us His law. He’s not giving us tablets, but He is giving us His word and writing it on our hearts.

(Acts 1:3-5) After he’s suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of 40 days and spoke about the kingdom of God. On one occasion while he was eating with them, he gave them this command, do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift of my father, my father promised, which you have heard of me speak about for John, the John baptized with water. But in a few days, you’ll be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

He had appeared to them over 40 days. I’m assuming that this is just a few days before the Holy Spirit came, before Pentecost because he had appeared to them and talked about the Kingdom of God. Now he tells them,” I want you to go,” He knew that the day is coming near for him to fulfill, this holiday, this festival. Remember that He did not come to abolish the law, but he came to fulfill the law and the prophets.  We see here He is fulfilling it. He tells them you are celebrating the giving of the ten commandments that were given on stone tablets that no man could keep. It was just words written on stone. Now I’m coming and because of my Holy Spirit, who is going to indwell you and with you, He is going to write my law, write my word on your hearts. He is not going to stop there, but He’s going to give you the power to be able to fulfill it. He’s going to give you the power to be able to live what I command you to do. Hallelujah!

(Acts 1:8) but you receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. And you’ll be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judaism area to the ends of the earth.

He gives them the promise that they’re going to receive power. He’s going to fulfill this festival. This law is going to fulfill it and give them the power to live it out the power. Because now this law is being written upon their hearts no longer on tablets and stones, but on their very hearts and on their minds. When the day of Pentecost, again, remember, we’re talking about the meaning of Pentecost. Pentecost just said day. I know we have gone as far as, you know, creating denominations and all kinds of labels and whatever, but Pentecost is just a day. The day of Pentecost had fully come. Fifty days after resurrection.

Biblical festivals were declared by God to be His festivals (Leviticus 23:37). God’s festivals recur around the number seven. The weekly festival of Shabbat occurs at the end of the seven-day week. Passover which happens in the middle of the first month initiates the timing of the other festivals which occur later in the year. Following Passover is the festival of First Fruits which happens during the week initiated by Passover. Seven weeks from the celebration of First Fruits comes Shavuot (Christians know this festival as Pentecost). Seven months from Passover the last of the yearly festivals occurs. This is called Sukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles.

(Acts 2:1-4) When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested[a] on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance,

The day of Pentecost is a day of power. We don’t want to just dwell on the day, but we just want to dwell on what Jesus was doing. He was fulfilling this Jewish holiday, the celebrating of the ten commandments. Now it is God in us because when the Holy Spirit came, he did not only come to only be with us, but He’s also in us. He came and fulfilled that, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.

Now the Greek word, eplēsthēsan is the same word, to be filled in Ephesians, meaning to have influence over or to take control.

The Holy Spirit had absolute influence, absolute control and possession of them He began to give them utterance. He began to move their mouths, lips and their tongues into a prayer language. I believe it was intercession because they were praying in tongues and others who were around began to hear them talk about the blessings or praying in tongues. They began to hear them just magnify God, glorify God, talk mysteries about the wonders of God on that very day. That is, the meaning of Pentecost. The meaning of Pentecost is the day when the Holy Spirit came to the early church and birthed the early church.

You can have your own Pentecost, so to speak. You can have the experience of the Holy Spirit because He comes, and as you open your heart, you receive Him. As you know Jesus came already, He has poured out the Holy Spirit. You don’t have to do anything else to receive Him. Nothing extra is needed just receive Him. First qualification is that you must repent and receive Christ into your life.

Now let’s talk about the third holiday, the Feast of Tabernacles signifies, the second coming.

This was the celebration of the, the wandering or living in temporary tent or huts. Now I love this. When God showed me the Feast of Tabernacles, of course, they were wandering, and they were sojourners, and they were wanderers. They had no home. And they were living in temporary huts. Do you know that we are wanderers and sojourners, too? This is not our home. We are here, temporarily. We are temporarily here.

Listen to what the Word of God says,

(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God. and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so. we will be with the Lord forever.

Dear friend, we might be accumulating things we might be worried about retirement and all the things like that.  Yet in the greater scheme of things, we are wanderers. This is going to be fulfilled when Jesus comes back. But we see here, He didn’t come to abolish the law, because that was for them to remember the wanderings and living in temporary huts and tents. And today, really, as we celebrate these festivals, we are remembering that we are sojourners. This is not our home. Heaven is our home. We are here temporarily.

As we do that, then we begin to really detach from the world and live more of a heavenly-minded life than a worldly life or an earthly life. We are not going to be here forever. We know Jesus is coming back.  There is going to be a trumpet call of God and the dead in Christ are going to rise. And those of us who are alive and remain, will be caught up, depend, you know, when, if he tarries. If not, when He comes back and we are dead, we we’re going to be as a matter of fact, raised first. Then we’ll meet the Lord Jesus in the clouds, and we will be forever with him.

This prophecy, Jesus has not come to abolish it, but He is fulfilling it because now He shows us the picture of what is coming. It will be fulfilled when Christ comes back. As we think about Pentecost, do you know, what is the meaning? Because we see when the Holy Spirit came, in

(Acts 2:12) It says that they were amazed and perplexed. They asked one another, “What does this mean?

Well, this is what it means really. This is the true meaning of Pentecost.

Number one, that the Holy Spirit empowers you to live righteously.

That’s what it means.

(Romans 8:9) “You however are controlled, not by the sinful nature, but by the Spirit, if the spirit of God lives in you now.”

When the Holy Spirit comes, the meaning of true Pentecost is that the Holy Spirit empowers you and me to live righteously, to live a holy life, to prepare us, to make us red hot for heaven.  Jesus is coming back and he’s coming soon, and you and I need to be ready.

While we wait, He empowers us to do the will of God on this earth. This is really what it means.

(Isaiah 30:21) He says whether you turn to the right or the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying this is the way. Walk in it.

This was way back, many, many hundred years, when Isaiah prophesied this. We see it fulfilled by Jesus when the Holy Spirit comes.  Again, remember Jesus says, “I did not come to abolish. I came to fulfill the law and the prophets.”  We see His fulfillment of the law in the Passover and in Pentecost. He Is fulfilling the prophets in Isaiah 30:21. When we look also on the Feast of Tabernacles, we see that he’s fulfilling the prophets or what was prophesied.

He says, whether you turn to the right or the left, you’ll hear a voice. Whose voice will you hear? It is the voice of the Holy Spirit behind you saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.” The voice of the Holy Spirit, the meaning of Pentecost is the Holy Spirit is here to lead you and guide you. That’s why the Bible calls Him, your guide, your helper and your counselor. He’s your teacher. He’s going to show you the way. He’s going to keep you in the right way. He’s going to keep you in the right path until Jesus comes.

The second meaning of Pentecost is that the Holy Spirit empowers you to live supernaturally.

He empowers us.

(Acts 10:38 NLT) “And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who oppressed by the devil for God was with Him.”

In the same way. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power. How was Jesus anointed?  Many people think they cannot walk in the power of God because they are not the original disciples, or they say that those were the chosen disciples. Or that was Jesus. The Bible shows us the blueprint of how God works, how the disciples were anointed and how Jesus, the son of God. Jesus was not anointed based on the basis that he was the son of God. He had to leave heaven and came to earth. He lived as a hundred percent God, but also, a hundred percent man in covenant with God. In other words, anything that you and I go through, he went through, he was liable to hunger, exhaustion, fatigue and frustration like we are.

Do you remember when He turned over the tables in the temple? He was frustrated and began to beat them because they were doing wrong. He went through all the emotions and all the things that we all go through, even the pains. But we see here, Luke, the author of Acts tells us how Jesus was anointed. He was anointed with the Holy Spirit. If you and I want to be anointed, we need to look to the Holy Spirit. He was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. That’s how He was. We see the apostles before the Holy Spirit comes on them, they’re just mere men. Men who love Jesus. And after the Holy Spirit comes on them, they are world changes. As a matter of fact, the Bible tells us in Acts 8, wherever they went, even when they went down to Samaria, people are saying that these guys have turned the world upside down, they even referred to them as “small gods” who had come to their town.

They were influential. They had impact. They had substance, they had influence. They were making a difference for the kingdom of God in people’s lives. Everywhere they went. But that was after the Holy Spirit. That’s why Jesus told them to go and wait until the Holy Spirit comes. Don’t do anything else because you don’t have what it takes. But when the Holy Spirit comes, He’s going to give you what it takes to continue in my footsteps, to continue in my assignment, in my work, in my great commission to live righteously, to live supernaturally.

(1 Corinthians 2:4-5) “My message and my preaching was not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power.”

Dear Friends, listen to this.  Paul experienced the power of God. Paul wrote eighty percent of the New Testament by revelation from the Holy Spirit.  He says that my preaching and my teachings were not in the cleverness of man’s words. It was in the demonstration of the Spirit and power. It was not in the demonstration of his intellectual powers. It was not in the demonstration of his skills as a good orator.  Sure, he was a good orator. He was an educated man.  I mean, he tells you I’m a Pharisee of the Pharisees.

He tells us that He was all that but that his preaching was not just intellectual. It was in the demonstration of the spirit and the power of God so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. This is the meaning of Pentecost. Pentecost is about power is about God writing his heart on our hearts, writing his words on our hearts transforming, imparting to us the very mind of God. The very mind of Christ by the spirit is about empowering us to live righteously, supernaturally as part of our everyday life.

The third point is the meaning of Pentecost is that the Holy Spirit empowers you to live on mission.

He empowers me to live on God’s mission every day. He empowers you. That’s the meaning. It’s not about all the other things that we are putting around. I love denominations and all these labels, but you know what? That’s not what God is all about. I mean, we created that. God didn’t create all that. He did not. He could care less whether I label myself this or that, but what he cares is that I walk and live in the reality of Pentecost of what he has poured out for me to be able to do, what He has put me on earth to do while I wait.

While I wander and live in these temporary tents here on earth, he’s called me and has given me the Holy Spirit to empower me to live righteously, to live supernaturally and to live on mission that my sight and my focus, I zero in on the things that are above not beneath, because the things that are of this world and of this earth, they perish their temper David said, “Life is a vapor.” It is here today, and tomorrow it is gone. What we all have is that what we have done for God, with love and with faith, for the glory of God. That’s what we have.

The meaning of Pentecost was to empower the early church to live righteously, live supernaturally and to live on God’s mission until Jesus comes back and takes us all. Listen to this statement as I finish,

Being filled with Holy Spirit does not make me better than you. It makes me better than me.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit does not make you better than anybody else, but it makes you better than you. Why? Because the Holy Spirit takes you the weak, fearful feeble person and he begins to do a work on the inside of you. He begins to transform you and transform you from the inside out. He says, “Come as you are, but I’m not going to leave you there the same way I met you. I’m going to change your life for Jesus. I’m going to transform you. I’m going to empower you to overcome sin and inequity and all the things that are contrary to God’s nature, holiness, and righteousness. I’m going to empower you to live righteously.

Dear friend, you are not left to yourself. You are not left to fend for yourself to try to go through life, trying to do the law and to fulfill it. That’s why, you know, in all religion, men have failed because it was not by the cunning cleverness of man. It’s not by the human arm of strength. It is always from beginning to end., “It is by My Spirit.” says the Lord.

If you don’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior, or you are not sure that you have a solid relationship with Jesus, I invite you to pray this prayer with me.

Dear Lord, Jesus. I confess that I have sinned against God. I am a sinner, but I need a savior. And You are that savior. I confess You are the Son of God. God raised you from the dead. Forgive my sin. Wash me with your precious blood. Fill me with your Holy Spirit to do your will and live for you. Lord Jesus. I opened the door to my heart and to my whole life. Come in, fill me with your life, with the fullness of your life. From this day, going forward, I am your, I am saved. Amen.

Dear friend. You’ve said that prayer, as simple as it was, if you said it from your heart, you meant it. Jesus has saved you. He has come into your heart. And right now, from this moment on the Holy Spirit is in you and is with you. And he’s beginning a work to empower you, to transform you, to live righteously, to live supernaturally and to live on its mission.

You can connect with us on TV platforms on Roku, on Apple TV, Android TV and all the other platforms. They are all on our website. Thank you for tuning in. I’m going to jump in the Word of God,

(Acts 19:1-2) While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the interior and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” “No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

Dear friend, the reason we are teaching this message is because there are many today, like in Paul’s day who have not heard about the Holy Spirit, and there are many who are confused or taught the wrong doctrine or the wrong theology concerning the Holy Spirit.

There are different groups. Some don’t believe in the Holy Spirit at all, while others don’t believe in His person. still others believe in the Deity but not His person and vice-versa. I pray that during this teaching series, we bring understanding knowledge and clarity to this wonderful, person, the spirit. HE IS the third person of the Trinity. And as we go through this, I’ll vindicate His duty. I’ll vindicate through the word of God His personality. I will show you how you can connect and interact and have a relationship with Him, not only with the father, not only with Jesus, but also with the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever wondered why the things we see in the book of Acts are a little bit far off from the church today or from your own life? Or wondered why there are things that you have read about other people, or in the Bible, especially the gospels and the book of acts, and seen what God was doing through other people and asked yourself why is God not moving in my life that way? God is not doing those things in my community, or in my church but not in me. The answer is closely tied to Holy Spirit. The reason we do not see God moving in our life like that is because we do not do what they did in the book of Acts.

The thing is if we did what they did, and believe what they believed, we’ll see the same results. Part of that is this outpouring of the Holy Spirit that they received on the day of Pentecost. It is crucial for you to go on this journey, give me several weeks here. Every week we will go on this journey together in continuing episodes, releasing more insight and understanding of Holy Spirit.

When Paul found these Jesus-loving believers, they had never even heard about the Holy Spirit.

We are calling today’s message. “A Breath of Fresh Air.” God wants you to experience a breath of fresh air, a breath of His wind.

“Ruach,” is the Hebrew word used in the Old Testament translated as “spirit”. It refers to a wind, breath, a violent exhalation, a blast of breath.

We see the Holy Spirit was there from the beginning even at creation. He was there.

(Genesis 1:2) says, “Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was over the surface of the deep and this spirit, the RUACH of God was hovering over the waters.”

And then what do we see? God spoke. We see that even in creation for creation to take place, we see that the Holy Spirit was involved

As a matter of fact, we see that Godhead involved in everything that happens on the earth that will happen in your life and throughout your life. There are the three all working in perfect harmony. This is I said earlier that we cannot see God’s supernatural apart from the Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Father has already done his part. Jesus has already played his part.  And I will show you in this series, now it is up to the Holy Spirit to manifest those things in our lives and bring them from the spiritual realm into the physical.

We see that Pneuma, the Greek word, translated first spirit in the New Testament means a current of air, blast of breath, or a strong breath. Pneuma and Ruach mean the same thing.

In John 6:63, this is what Jesus says, “The words that I have spoken to you, they are Spirit, and they are life.”

They are my breath. They are my wind.  When I speak from my very life, what I speak is life because it is being I imparted to you and communicated by the Spirit. Therefore, we need to understand the very nature of the Holy Spirit is the spirit of the Father, the spirit of God, the spirit of Jesus Christ and all the other titles, which we will cover in a separate episode as I’ll break it down for you.

Let’s talk about the characteristics of wind. Wind is unseen.

(John 14:16-17) , Jesus said, “I’ll ask the Father and He’ll give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever, the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, but you know Him.”

How do we know Him? He says, “Because he says He lives with you and later He’ll be in you. He lives in you, with you and He will be in you.  We know this unseen God; the Spirit is unseen. We know Him because He’s living in us. Put this in your spirit. He lives in us and He’s with us as I will show you before the conclusion of this teaching today, the roles of the Trinity. I want you to put that in your spirit. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father. As we speak right now, He’s not on earth. The Father is sitting in his throne right now in heaven. Jesus is sitting on the right hand, but the Holy Spirit is here with me, with you, right here. The Holy Spirit, God, the spirit. It is what we call the dispensation of the Spirit.

In the Old Testament, we had the dispensation of the father in the New Testament. At the beginning of the church, when Jesus walked the earth, we had the dispensation of the son of Jesus Christ. When the disciples needed to interact, they did not need to go to a prophet. They went to Jesus. And Jesus said that it’s expedient pr to your advantage that I go, because when I go the, the Advocate, the Helper, the Teacher, this Holy Spirit is going to come. He is going to be in you and be with you. See that is crucial for you and I to get a hold of.

The second characteristic of wind is unpredictability.

Again here, Jesus says

In John 3:8, Jesus answered, “The wind blows where it pleases. You hear it sounds, but you cannot tell, where it comes from or where it’s going. So, it is with everyone born of the spirit.”

It is unpredictable. What does that mean? It means that the God in you, this Holy Spirit is unpredictable. You cannot predict what He will do and how He’s going to do it. But what you can predict is His nature. His nature is faithful. What the Bible says is that he’s there with you. He is going to be in you and He’s going to be with you.

Then you, as a believer, filled with a spirit, your daily walk, so to speak is going to be also unpredictable. You can’t think that God is going to do something, the same way he did it last time, where he did it or how he did it or when he did it? No, because God is unpredictable. We must understand this aspect of the, of the spirit that this is again, we are talking about the nature of the spirit and will go deeper in a separate episode when we talk about all the other aspects of this nature. Today we are talking specifically about wind.

This is the third aspect or characteristic of wind. The wind is powerful. It can sail a boat, a ship, but it can also destroy a city. We have seen tornadoes. We have seen hurricanes, heavy winds destroying buildings, bringing down bridges, just causing all kinds of devastations. That’s how powerful wind is.

Jesus said in Acts 1:8.” but you receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.”

In other words, when this, the wind of God comes on you, you’re going to receive “dunamis”, the dynamite of God. Yet the wind of God, the Holy Spirit doesn’t destroy things. He revives. He gives life. As a matter of fact, when we talk about his names and his titles, one of them is, He’s called the Good Spirit.  Why? Because He imparts the goodness of God.  If we are going to see and know the goodness of God in the land of the living, we need to know the Good Spirit because the Good Spirit is the one who brings it from the invisible into our world, into the tangible. He’s powerful. The Holy Spirit is omnipotent.  He’s impregnable, He’s unstoppable. When we realize His nature and who He is, we can better work with Him and receive all that He desires to impart to us. Hallelujah, praise God.

Charles Finney, a 1900 revivalist and powerful man of God, is considered the father of modern-day revival. He was a country lawyer and a Presbyterian minister. In his testimony he said that at some point he was content with knowing God intellectually like many Christians are. Maybe you are just content knowing God on an intellectual level, but you don’t know God on an experiential level. Knowing God on an intellectual level is not bad but it can’t all just be intellect. We must add to that intellectual knowledge, experiential knowledge and encounter God.

This is what Charles Finney said, “Holy Spirit descended upon me in a manner that seemed to go through me, body and soul.” Would you not love the power of God to go through your body and soul and actually really feel it?.  Finney continues, “I could feel the impression like a wave of electricity going through me. Indeed. It seemed to come in waves and waves of liquid love. I could not express it in any other way. It seemed like the very breath of God.”

Dear friend, this is what happens. I remember when I got baptized in the Holy Spirit was just a few days after I became, you know, a follower of Jesus Christ. I was in the shower. I didn’t even know how to pray or what to pray, but all I cried out to God, “God, I want everything that you have for me. I want it all. Give it to me.” And there, it was in the shower, the power of God, you know, kind of like Charles Finney, I just felt love, a blanket of love just enveloping me and just overcoming me suddenly, everything that I’d thought about myself unworthiness.  Why was I born here? Why am I here? All that flitted away. I knew that I was loved. I knew that I was valued. I knew that somebody cared deep down. Somebody cares for me. And from that very moment, God just baptized me, uh, with a love for him and for people.

I remember wailing for salvation of men that others will come to know this same love. This power, what I feel right now. I wanted it even for my worst enemy. I just wanted it. Dear friend, that day I was activated into the ministry of prayer and intercession. It was because of the Holy Spirit. It just radically changed my life. He is going to do the same for you, if He hasn’t already started. I’m going to show you how you can really tap into all that He has for you.

The fourth characteristic of wind is refreshing. Just think of on a hot summer day, you go into a car, and you roll down the windows. Then the breeze begins to come through, the window and begins to refresh you. Cool you down., you see the holy spirit is the spirit of refreshing. As a matter of fact, one of His titles is the Spirit of Revival. We want revival, but we can’t have revival apart from the Holy Spirit, as I will really show you as we go in this teaching. The Holy Spirit is refreshing.

(1 Corinthians 2:9-10) it says “No eye has seen; no ear has heard. No mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.”.

Understand it hasn’t been conceived by you.  There are dreams. There are visions. There are destinies. These are things that God has for you, that you haven’t conceived that I haven’t conceived, but God, now this is the key. Listen to this friend, but God has revealed it to us by the spirit. How is getting that stuff to us? He’s getting it to us by the spirit. Do you understand? No, eye seen the mysteries, all the pleasure, the glory and, and all the wonders and all the blessings, the miracles, the signs, the wonders, all that. All that God desires for you and I to be, and to become and to do. He says you haven’t seen, I haven’t seen, but He’s going to reveal to us by that spirit.

Now it is time to take a deep breath and begin to posture ourselves for God to breathe on us fresh and anew.

(Ephesians 4:30 MSG) it reads, “Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you is the most intimate part of your life. Or you could say can be the most intimate part of your life to make you fit for Himself.”

Now, did you hear that he makes you fit for Himself. It’s not by the cunning cleverness of man. It’s not by the human arm of strength. It is by the Holy Spirit, from beginning to end, the Holy Spirit making you fit for God, making you fit for heaven, making you fit for all that God wants and desires to be, and to do in you and through you. The Holy Spirit.

He goes on to say, “Don’t take such a gift for granted.”

This is why I’m passionate about bringing this message because many have taken this, you know, passion of the Holy Spirit for granted and many don’t even know Him.

In 1999, I was preaching across England and the pastor invited me to go to his church. They scheduled the meetings Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. When the day came, and they drove me to the church, and I began to preach. In the midst of the preaching, , a lady that could not walk that stood up and she yelled, “Oh, I am healed”. And she began to walk. I mean, she was ecstatic. She was sitting in this wheelchair and suddenly she stands up and she can walk and she’s ecstatic. She’s excited. And I continue preaching. And then somebody else in the back say, “Oh, I’m healed.” Miracles started happening. Now. I didn’t know that the church I was in was what they call the Jesus only church. They don’t believe in really the father or Holy Spirit.

They only believe in Jesus. Then the Bishop stood up to stop what was happening. And he said, “We don’t believe in this thing. Stop it.” I told him, that I don’t know how to stop it. This is, you know, the power of the Holy Spirit. Well, we believe in the power of God, but we don’t believe in the power of the Holy Spirit. Listen, friend. This is the biggest deception. There is the power of the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the communicator. He is the transmitter of that power. That’s why He’s the power of God. If we want to see the power of God, we need to connect with the power of God, who is the Holy Spirit.

Dear friend, this dear brother, this Bishop, he’s trying to stop the holy spirit. He didn’t know what to do. I told him, “well, you go right ahead. “

Although he tried to stop the move of God, but the Holy Spirit was touching people and healing people. Of course, they didn’t invite me for the rest of the days. And when the service was done, we began to talk. He was experiencing, something he had never seen before.  Though, deep down their church, they believed for the move of the power of God, yet they did not realize that the one person they are rejecting, ignoring and pushing away is the one person that they needed to see the hand of God.

Dear friend, that is the devil’s real deception to keep people from the truth. Because the truth, you know, is what sets you free. And that’s why I’m very passionate about preaching this truth, because there are many, I know there are many groups that some deny His duty, and some deny His personality.  Some deny him completely, right? They think he’s just a force that comes from God. Dear friend, it is important for you and I to get a hold of this truth. Because when we know the truth, it is the truth that sits us free. I remember sharing with that Bishop and I said, “Hey, go back in the Bible and search it for yourself. Don’t believe what somebody told you or don’t believe just what the denomination says. Go search it, search it in the Word of God. If you see the Holy Spirit in the Bible, if you see the Holy Spirit all the way from Genesis to maps. You will see. And you see the Holy Spirit birthing the New Testament church. I don’t know how you can really say,” The Holy Spirit is not God, and He is not for today. “

I think it is very important that we need to really understand what we believe. What do you believe? What do you believe about God? when I say God, I mean, God, the Father, God, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I’m going to show you their role here in a second. How do we begin to take this deep breath, begin to connect with the Holy Spirit?

Number one, we need to let go of our fears and of our misconceptions.

We need to let go. We need to give them to Jesus. Maybe I’ve seen something on television. Maybe you had a bad experience in those circles where people, believe in the power of God. It doesn’t mean to throw out this gift of God, just because of one bad experience.

(Proverbs 3:5 MSG), “Trust God, you need to trust God.” Amen. Say it with me, “Trust God from the bottom of your heart. Don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Trust God.”

I want you to push delete on your past experiences on what you’ve been taught. I don’t know what you’ve been taught, but whatever you believe push delete and get back into the Word of God. In this series. I submit these teachings to you and the Holy Spirit to go and even question what I’m teaching question, what I’m showing you, because if it’s in the Bible, don’t take my word for it. I am going to take you into the word and trust God to show you the truth.

Because the truth that you know is not the truth of your denomination or it is not the truth of your church. It’s not the truth of what the pastor said., I’m a minister myself, but I’m telling you question the word of God. Open the Bible and begin to read it for yourself and see, does this make sense?

Number two, go all in.

(Jeremiah 29:13) it says that you’ll seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Remember I told you in 1986, when I just got saved, I didn’t even know how to pray. You don’t need to be an expert in prayer. You just need to have an open heart, just go all in. I told God; “I just want everything you have. I don’t care what it feels like, what it looks like. I just want it. I must have it.” It is completely different, once we take away all these conditions and all these reservations, God comes in, he’s waiting.

The Bible says He’s knocking at the door, waiting for us to open the door for him to come in. He will come in any day, anytime, anywhere, any place he will come in, but you must open the door. You must invite Him in. When you seek Him with all your heart, the Bible calls it, surrender. When you surrender, you put yourself at, his disposal, he’s going to come and make you a disciple. He’s going to come and teach you and take you deeper into the Word of God, from what he wants, where you are into what he wants you to be and wants you to have and wants you to do Hallelujah!

This third point, which is extremely important, is you must develop an intimate friendship with the Holy Spirit.

We see most of the epistles that Paul wrote, they end with a benediction. Well, this is one of them. I’m sure some of you have been in services when the minister at the end, says the benediction.  It may go something like this, “May the Lord bless you. May the Lord be with you. May the Lord cause his face to shine upon you and give you peace. You see that’s the benediction. This is a benediction.

(2 Corinthians 13:14 MSG), “The amazing grace of the Lord, Jesus Christ. The amazing grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you.

This is the Trinity and, remember I told you, I’m going to tell you about the role or the operations of the, of the Trinity. is.   I remember sharing this verse with my pastor friend of the Jesus only church. And I said, “Well, here we have, the Trinity mentioned, in the same verse in this benediction prayer, because it’s not only God, the father, it’s not only Jesus. And it’s not only the Holy Spirit. It is the, is the triune God.

The Role of The Trinity Explained

God, the father loves you.  The extravagant love of God. The father loves you. That his role. He’s the architect.  He’s the architect of all things. And His heart is to love. He loves you. And you may say, dear brother, Andrew, I really can’t receive the love of God because I had a, a bad athlete father. Well, the devil did that to hinder you from really knowing the love of God. It has nothing to do with God. Now, let me give you an example here. Can you see? Men put value on things based on what others are willing to pay for that thing.

Now I love you. I pray for you. I fast and pray for our viewers, our listeners, those who read my books, those who come to my services, those who partner with us and support us. I pray and I fast. And I love you, but I’ll tell you, I’ll not give any of my sons to die for you in your name and in your place so that you and I can have a friendship. I, I don’t love you that much, but God loved you so much that he will give Jesus Christ to die in your name and your place so that you and He can get to know each other. You see, that is the love. The extravagant is the love that doesn’t hold back. What is precious?

That’s the love of God for humanity. That’s the love of God for you. And I, it doesn’t matter where you are born. It doesn’t matter. You know what circumstances you are in right now; the love of God is for you. He loves you that much, that He will give Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins, for your misdeeds past present and in future so that you can be reunited with God. That’s the extravagant love of God.

Now, Jesus, Jesus saves you. He saves you and I, that’s why the Bible says the amazing grace of the Lord, Jesus Christ. That’s why he seated the throne in heaven that he seated on is called the throne of grace and mercy, because that’s who he is. That’s what he came to do to distribute and to open the door for grace, for humanity, to come into God, to come to know God, he saves us. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been. It doesn’t matter where you are. It doesn’t matter where you’ve done. He saves you right now. You will receive him, confess him as Lord and accept him and say, “Jesus, come into my life”. It doesn’t matter where you are. When I got saved, I got saved in my bedroom, got back from school. And I had this conviction on me about my sin.  I cried out. I realized I was a sinner, and I needed a savior right then in my bedroom. Nobody laid hands on me. Nobody prayed for me. Nobody preached to me. Well, my mother preached to me. She had planted the seed over the years, but I had rejected it. But until that day I knew Jesus. The grace of Jesus touched me. I knelt and invited him into my life. And guess what? 30 plus years later, I’m still going. I’m basking in that. grace. He saves you. Do you see?

And then God, the Holy Spirit is with you. Do you see, dear friend? I told you earlier that God the father is in heaven. Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God right now. But guess who is here right now in this studio right there, where you are watching from. God, the Holy Spirit! He’s in you and He’s with you. If you’re not a believer, you receive Jesus as your Lord and savior accept what he did.  Then The Holy Spirit is going to come and indwell your life from that moment going forward. And he’s going to empower you as I will show you in the next teaching. He’s going to empower you to live righteously, to make a difference to live supernaturally.

Pray and Invite Jesus Into Your Life Now

It is amazing. It is the most wonderful gift that any man could receive. It is the gift of eternal life, the gift of unconditional love. It is the gift of grace and is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Dear friend, you are not left to your own doings. Jesus has given you the Holy Spirit to help you, to be with you until He comes. If you don’t have a relationship with Jesus, or you have kind of wandered away, this is the time to rededicate your life to the Lord. Jesus Christ Confess Him as Lord say, “Jesus, I invite you into my life. Be Lord of my life and be my savior. Pray this simple prayer with me by faith. Mean it from the bottom of your heart, say what you mean and mean what you say, and Jesus is going to save you right there. Like he did in my bedroom.

Lord Jesus. I confess that I have sinned against God, and I need your saving grace. I accept what you did on the cross. When you died, you are buried, and you are resurrected for me in my name and in my place. I receive you as my Lord and savior. Fill me with your holy spirit and empower me to do your will now. And for all eternity, I confess that God raised you from the dead. And I confess that I am saved today. Thank you, Jesus, for saving my life. Amen,

Hello, dear friend, welcome to the broadcast. I’m Andrew Nkoyoyo and I’m glad you’re turning in to kingdom Come with me. Today we are going to unpack something that is very near and dear God’s heart and to my heart. In the last broadcast, we talked about the love of God, experiencing the love of God. For those of you that haven’t watched it, you can view it on our platforms, on for our podcast and radio audience, and is on our, connected TV platforms. Today I want to invite you to join me for this inspiring yet life changing message on the love of the Spirit. When we talk about God, most of the time, we think of the love of God, the Father, and sometimes the love of Jesus, but we don’t really think about the love of the Spirit for you and I.

Today I was impressed by the holy Spirit to come and talk to you about the love of the Spirit. In our next broadcast, we’ll talk about the love of Christ. What is this love of the Spirit? First let’s go back to when we talk about the love of God, what are we talking about? We are talking about the love of God. Remember, God is a triune God. When we talk about love of God, we are referring to the love of God, the Father. or the love of God the Son, or the love God of God, the Spirit. We do not talk much about the love of the Spirit, I felt like it is time to highlight that part of God’s love for you and me. When we do it brings us into a deeper experience a deeper reality and appreciation and intimacy with the Holy Spirit, by the way, who imparts supplies, releases, manifests, demonstrates love of God in our experiential, tangible everyday life.

1 John 4;16, I’m reading from the Living Bible.

“God is love. And anyone who lives in love is living with God and God living in him”

Now God is love. God, the Father is love God., the son is love. That’s why Jesus could lay down his life for you and me. God, the spirit is love. That’s why the Holy Spirit left heaven to come in this dispensation in this time to be in you. That takes us into the next promise. The next scripture. Dear friend, you have to put this in your spirit because when I discovered this love of, of the spirit for me, it changed everything about my relationship. not only with God, the Father or God, the Son, but also God, the Spirit. I knew then that the Holy Spirit is not just here out of duty or out of obligation and out of the answer to the prayer of Jesus, to come and be my comforter, but actually as a member of the Godhead.

The Holy Spirit loves you. Let that sink in. The Holy Spirit loves you, the same way the Father loves you, the same way. Jesus loves you. That’s why the Holy Spirit is so relentless in his love. He’s so consistent in his love in convicting us, in leading us, directing us and pursuing us to bring us to the, that true intimacy with God. Again, when I say God, I’m referring to God, the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, the Trinity, the triune God,.

Jesus said this in John 4:15-17,” if you love me, keep my commandments and I will pray the father. And he’ll give you another helper”.

The King James says, “another comforter that He may abide with you forever.” Now this person, this lover, God, the Spirit Jesus says, “He’s going to abide with you forever. “

Now Jesus is not here right now. He Is in heaven at the right hand of the Father, Yet He is here, stay with me, through the presence, the person and the power of the Holy Spirit. It is crucial for you and I to understand this love of the one that is here with us. Jesus said that He will be with you forever.

Verse 17. He says “”the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him, but you know him because He dwells with you and He will be in you.”

When the Holy Spirit comes, divine lover of you and me, when He comes, He says, ‘He’s going to dwell in you and He’s going to dwell with you.” What I want to bring deep into your spirit man, is the fact that the holy Spirit is not just here because Jesus prayed to the Father. and the Father said, ” Now, Holy Spirit. Now go be with them”.

Now He can because it is as a member of the Trinity, he shares the same attributes with God, the Father and the Son as love. Amen. When you understand that, then your relationship with the holy Spirit is going to be elevated because now, you know, there is this person who came forever to be with you in you and with you and upon you, that is the anointing part. That is the empowering part. He is going to be in your life because He loves you. Yes, it’s because the Father sent Him and Jesus prayed the Father and the Father said, ” Holy Spirit.  As the member of the Godhead, He shares, and imparts the same reality of the love of the Father and of Jesus. And He is love.

I want you to put that in your spirit. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of love. He’s not only the Spirit of power, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of Revelation. I mean, He IS all these titles but also the Spirit of Love because He is love. Also, He works the ministry, the administration of not only His own love for you but also the love of the Father and the love of Jesus Christ. Dear friend, there is nothing that you and I are going to accomplish in this world, in this life, without the deep working of God, the spirit. But when we know that that work is going to be realized, because now we are being saturated, grounded in the love of God, the spirit who is love, I’m going to show you here in our next scripture, that the Spirit of God is the one who’s going to work this love.

As a result, there is a reciprocity that you loving God, the Father, and you loving the world, you loving yourself and also the world around you is because of God, the Spirit. Romans 15:30 says, Paul says, “I urge your brothers and sisters by our Lord Jesus Christ. And by the love of the spirit to join me in my struggle, by praying to God for me,.”

Here, Paul was reaching out to the Romans for prayer, the body of Christ in that time for prayer and for intercession on his behalf, it was going to take the love of the Spirit in their hearts. Now, remember the Spirit of God loves you. The same way the Father, and the Son love you. The spirit of God works that love in you. He works the love through you. The believers in Rome, to be able to intercede, I’m talking about fervent effectual, fervent prayer that avails much is the prayer that the Holy Spirit will orchestrate, that the Holy Spirit will lead and guide that the Holy Spirit will empower.

All that is coming and flowing out of the place of love. Not only just your natural love, because within you, we humans, we are selfish by nature until the hand of God touches us. Hallelujah. Paul tells us here that it’s going to be by the love of the Spirit, the love of the Spirit. The spirit loves Paul. Now watch this. The spirit loved Paul and the spirit is going to empower the believers in Rome to go into deep effectual, fervent prayer because of the love that it has for Paul, that He is imparting to them and releasing through them, through their prayers, through their fasting and through their, intercession before the throne of grace.

Amen? Dear friend, that’s why intercession is not just an act of will. It takes the Spirit. The Bible also calls him the Spirit of grace and supplication. It takes the spirit, but what I want you to really get hold of in this, episode is the fact that the Spirit of God who is love, He loves you. He also loves the people that He’s calling you to. He loves your family. He loves your marriage. He loves your children. He loves the people around you. I remember, you know, when I first got married, and, for those of you that are married, what I’m talking about. The two people becoming one. It was a little tough for the first year. I remember one day in my office, Holy Spirit sat me down and he told me what I needed to be for my new bride. He knows who she is and what she is and what she needs. and knows me and how I’m wired and everything. He tells me, out of love, this is what you need to be for you, for your wife. When listened to the Spirit of God, everything changed. Everything changed instantly because the love of the Spirit for my wife was there and the love for me. And he was there to administer. Now, all he was looking for a vessel that was open, that was obedient. that was, yielded, that was willing to hear and obey. Dear friend, this is crucial for you and I to understand if we are going to love ourselves, right? And we are going to love others around us. We are going to love the world around us. And we are to really be that tangible, visible expression of God’s love.

We need to understand that God, the Father loves us. God, the Son loves us. We’ll talk about that next time. But God, the Spirit also loves us. It is the work of God the Spirit who takes the love of the Father and the love of Jesus and makes it real, He makes it tangible. He brings it from this spiritual thing, to being an actual experience., Something that we experience that all selfishness is consumed, dissolved and melted by the Spirit of God who is love. And who’s the spirit of love, and. He works that love within us. Suddenly we can love the people we didn’t use to care for. I know I’ve been in places when God has told me to go preach and to go to countries, Muslim countries and different people, groups.

Some I never even cared about some it’s like, we have nothing in common. I don’t speak the language. I mean, I don’t like it, but suddenly this word comes and, it comes with the love. The Spirit of God takes His love, the love of the Father, love of the Son. Then He begins to melt all this selfishness. He begins to tenderize, if you please, your heart. Immediately, this callous heart that has been, kind of offended and, really closed off to a lot of things, immediately you have opened to the reality of God. Your eyes are opened and your heart breaks for what God, what really breaks God’s Then suddenly, you find yourself on your knees, weeping for the people and asking God to give you the nations, to give you those people, groups, to give you that community, to, for that neighbor, for that person, for that marriage be healed.

This does not happen because you are a good person. It’s because the love of God is changing and transforming your life. And that is by the love of the Spirit. God, the Spirit different. Oh, how I have come to know this love and every day, how I long for this love for the spirit of God to work this love within me. But first I told you, when I started out back in 84, a year later as a new believer and the Holy Spirit began to talk to me about Himself. This was the first time I ever heard anybody preach about this. and I’ve never since had anybody talk about the love of the Spirit that the Spirit loves you, but God began to preach God. The spirit of God began to preach Himself to me.

He began to tell me how much He loved me and delighted in me and how He longs for me and, really shifted my thinking because yes, I knew the love of God and that Jesus loves me. He died for me, but I never really, you know, connected to the Holy Spirit that way until that day. When that day happened, everything changed because then I began on to receive His love. I began to open myself knowing I’m not just crying out for the Holy Spirit to come. He’s in me and with me and upon me, but above all, he cares for me. He loves me. He cares about what happens to me, what happens through me. He cares about every little bit and dear friend, from that point, my relationship changed. And, and so I’m going to give you some ways you can develop this relationship before, bee I’m done here., But I want to drive this, truth in Galatians first.,

Let’s read Romans 5:5, “that we are able to hold our heads high, no matter what happens and know that all is well for we know how dearly God loves us.”

Now, when we talk about God, we are talking about God, the Father, Son, Holy Spirit. And we feel this warmth of His love everywhere. We can tangibly physically feel the warmth. The love. You may not feel it all the time, but you can. I have felt it more times than I can care to count. We can feel it within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. Dear friend, God is love, God, the Father’, Son, Holy Spirit, the three are one God is love and the Spirit of God is here to bring you to another level of intimacy with the Father, Son, Holy Spirit. And He’s here to bring you into another level, another dimension where you really know the love of God, not only intellectually, but experientially, tangibly. To know that love coming from deep within, and then that’s going to intensify your relationship, your dependence, your trust and faith. Not only God, the Father and the Son, but also in the holy Spirit. This changed my life, dear friend,.

Let’s read Galatians 5:22 -23, it says, “but the fruit of the spirit is love.”

Why? Because He’ IS the spirit of, of love. And some other commentators have said that all the other really fruits of the spirit, there are only the results of love – joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness. self-control. He says against such, there is no law. Dear friend, when we get immersed, when we get married to the Holy Spirit, He marries us to the Father and to Jesus. Dear friend, I love this. I preach the message entitled, “MARRY ME.”. In addition, I go into it in great detail in my book, Catch and Release God’s Supernatural. , Chapter 16  The Intimacy with God Key.

How do we come to that place of divine connection?

We need to know the love of the Spirit. We need to know God, the Spirit as God of love and God who loves us the same way, the Father and the same way the Son loves us. When we do, dear friend, it brings us into a new reality of relationship, a new reality of expectation and faith. It brings us into a new reality of understanding, but also of action. Knowing that now, as we are stepping out, we are stepping out knowing that the Father has done everything he could to bring us back to himself. Jesus has paid the price, that we can have access. Now we embrace, the reality of God, the Spirit who brings us, who puts it all together, so to speak. And he brings us into the experience. The reality of all that Jesus has paid the price for in our name and in our place. How are we going to experience this? Love, the love, this love of the Spirit? There are just many ways, but I’m gonna give you a few here.

First off you must surrender. You must live a life of surrender, surrender to the spirit. Romans 6:13 tells us to surrender, to yield and a surrender to the Lord. Surrender means you just put yourself at one’s disposal, just put yourself at the disposal of God, the Spirit. Do you want to know His love? Do. you want to know his power.? Do you want to know all that He has? Just surrender. See, that’s one really the first step to this intimacy, to intensifying intimacy with the Spirit, Put yourself at his disposal, without question, without reservation, without condition whatsoever.

Secondly, commune with the Spirit in prayer. Most of us when we go to prayer is like a one way in, in a conversation. But maybe you are, maybe you haven’t. But if you haven’t, I just encourage you to start this your time conversing with the Holy spirit. Communing, not necessarily, putting out petitions, not yet, but just communing asking, inviting Him into that time of devotion or prayer or whatever it is. You might be driving, you might be walking, you might be exercising. You might be out there on the golf course. You might be doing whatever you love to do. It doesn’t matter. You can constantly be in communion with the Holy Spirit. And as you commune your relationship intensifies. Now remember you are in a love relationship, the same way you are in love relationship with the Father, the Son, and You are in a love relationship with the Holy Spirit. Number three, commune with the Spirit in the Word. Invite him to teach you, invite him to, to preach the Word to you, to unveil the Word of God, to, to unpack it for you. I know, I mean, many times they are complex scriptures. I didn’t understand. I had questions and it’s when I learned to sit at the feet of the Spirit of God and He began to talk, but then I had to learn to shut up and listen.

Number four is don’t grieve the Holy Spirit

Number five is Don’t quench the Spirit. I’m not going to dwell on those. I talk in depth in my book, Catch and Release God’s Supernatural. on all the things that hinder the Holy Spirit, but also the things that attract him. Remember, this is a love relationship. You want to remove, grieving the holy spirit, doing things that hurt Him. putting Him off. You want this love relationship to grow, this intimacy to thrive. You have to do things that delight Him. And when he convicts you of something, don’t put it off, but do it immediately! Have immediate obedience.!

Number six, listen and watch, listen to the Holy Spirit and watch for what the Holy Spirit is doing. Watch for what the holy Spirit is showing you. It might be something, for many, many years. I used to ignore my dreams. And then I found out 99 percent of my dreams would come true. Some will be good; some will be bad. Then I realized that was one way, the Holy Spirit talks to me, like I teach again on the language of the Holy Spirit, and how to hear God’s voice, all these are just languages. Sometimes you many get an impression, see something, some people see visions, others dreams, but you have to pay attention to those things. Cause if you ignore them and neglect them, you’re not going to be a good steward. Here we are stewarding this love. We are stewarding this relationship the same way we are cultivating and stewarding this relationship with a Father and with, the Son., Jesus Christ, the same way we are doing it with the Holy Spirit., Knowing that the Holy Spirit knows how to meet, the demands and the conditions of the scriptures of, of all the things that God desires and requires of us. He knows what He takes. If we can receive His love, rest in His love and trust that He loves us enough to lead us. Jesus tells us in His Word, “He leads you into all truth.”.

Number seven, OBEY. When he tells you something, BE OBEDIENT, do it immediately.

Number eight, Love the Spirit. Love Him. It’s like any other relationship when you love that person, show them, you love him. Tell him you love him. And then that love is going to be reciprocated.

Dear friend. I hope this message has blessed you before we close this broadcast. I want to invite you, any of those don’t have a relationship with Jesus. Do you want to experience this love? I want to read you a scripture and then I want to pray with you

Romans 10:9-10, He says, b “If you confess with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart. that God raised him from the dead. You’ll be saved.”

It’s that simple for, with the heart. One believes and is justified. And with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Dear friend. It is as simple as that. You believe in your heart, and you confess with your mouth. If you’re ready to take that step today, pray this prayer with me. Say,

Dear Lord, Jesus. I confess that I am a sinner and I need a savior. Come into my life. Be my Lord, be my savior. I confess with my mouth that I’m saved that I am yours from this day forth. And I believe in your in my heart that God rose you from the dead. Thank you, Jesus, for being my Lord and my savior. Amen.

Dear friend, if you pray that prayer, Jesus has come into your life, find a Bible, -believing church and get plugged in. I would love to hear from you go to our website. This broadcast is a presentation of Kingdom Impact Ministry. It is made possible by the grace of God, faithful prayers, and gifts from partners and viewers like you.

How does God feel you? How do you experience this love? Because the Holy Spirit is going to fill you with the love of God. He’s going to experience to unlock, and reveal, and manifest, and pour it out to you, and he’s going to dump it all to you and all of a sudden all selfishness and all these sense of, you know, like you’re an orphan, you don’t belong, and low self-esteem, and the poor self-image that most of us have all of a sudden, it dissipates. It dissolves. Why? Because now you are being filled and you know from within that you are loved by the most important person. ♪ [music] ♪ And welcome to the broadcast.

My name is Andrew Nkoyoyo. I’m so glad you are turning in today because I have a word from the Lord.

Today, we are going to talk about experiencing God’s love. You know, every human being has a longing for love, to receive love and to give love is one of the seven longings of the human heart. And when we are loved and when we know we are loved, we feel the sense of belonging.

And so another need that gets met is the need to belong, the need to feel loved, known, accepted, received for who we are. But in order for us to fully understand and fully experience this love, whether you’re a believer or not, we have to go back to the source.

God is love. God is the author of love. And so I’m going to take you to a Scripture that we all know by heart. Probably you memorized it in Sunday school,

John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life or everlasting life.”

Now, the keyword is God so loved the world. He loved you and me so much that He gave His only son in your name and in your place because of love.

He wasn’t motivated by anything else other than the love He has for you and me. Dear friend, I have good news for you. God is not mad at you. God is not watching over you, waiting for you to make a mistake, okay? To sin in your life or to do something that is contrary to His nature and to His name so He can beat you over with a big stick for the following verse tells us that God did not come into the world to condemn us.

But He sent Jesus so that through Jesus Christ, He may repair the relationship that was broken way back in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve violated God’s law and disobeyed God willingly and willfully and so they were cast out of the paradise, as we know it, the Garden of Eden.

And since then, God went on a journey to reconcile man back to Himself. And the motivation in God’s heart was nothing else but love. And so that’s why every human being, we are born with this longing, this craving for love, to receive love, to give love.

And so my desire today is to help you to know that God is on your side and how you can experience this love. I have come across many believers who have received Christ into their lives and yet they feel in some way or the other almost a sense of not being accepted or received.

It’s like they are orphans. They are like spiritual orphans who are always trying to beg God for His love, trying to do all the, you know, going through dead works, and human efforts, and the things they think they will do in order to attract God’s love or so that God will love them more. And I’m here to tell you, there is nothing that you and I will ever do to make God love us more or love us less, okay?

God’s love is unconditional towards you. And how do we know that? We are going to read a few verses here, but we know that because of Jesus. Jesus did not have to die. He did not have any sin in His life. And so when Jesus stepped on earth through the Holy Spirit, he was conceived into Mary’s womb by God so that he can come and fulfill the worth of God.

He can come and fulfill what we could not do for ourselves to save us so that the relationship with God can be healed. And so, dear friend, we see that Jesus loves you so much with such a relentless, such an unconditional love that he will lay his life down on the cross for you.

It does not matter where you are right now. It does not matter what you have done. What matters is the condition of your heart, is your attitude right now towards God. God is on a search and rescue mission.

He is out there looking for you, searching for you. And even for some of you that are watching that are Christians, maybe you felt like God didn’t like you that much. God didn’t love you, you have never felt the love of God. I’m going to show you the key. These are simple principles here in God’s word. And many believers struggle to receive and experience this love of God because of their past because the enemy has deceived them that their past is stronger than the love that God has for them.

And so they measure God’s love by the things they experience, by either God’s blessing. If God is blessing me, He must be loving me and He… And this is how we measure God’s love. Or if I’m going through adversity, “Where is God? Is God turned His back on me? Maybe God doesn’t love me as much as He loves the other person.” You see, all those are rooted in doubt, and unbelief, in ignorance, in lack of understanding.

So my desire is that we can simply learn, see the Scripture, and learn how to experience this love. Whether you’re a believer or not, God loves you. And so let’s read Romans Chapter 15 verse 30.

I’m reading from the New International Version. It says,

“I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the Lord Jesus Christ…” Now, watch this. “And by the love of the spirit to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.”

Paul is asking the church, the believers, to pray for him by Jesus Christ and by the love of the spirit.

I want you to put this in your spirit. Now, he does not use the love of God. He used by the love of the spirit. Why? Because the love of God, and this is key number one, really the only key. The love of God is only experienced through the inner working and power of the Holy Spirit. And that’s why when he asked the church in Rome to pray with him and for him, it’s by the grace of Jesus Christ and by the love of the spirit.

Other translations say by the love that the Holy Spirit gives you, the Holy Spirit works in you, the Holy Spirit pours in your heart. Okay? I want you to put this in your spirit because maybe you’re going through something. Maybe you have felt like, “Man, I love God, but I don’t know how much God loves me. How am I going to know this love, and feel this love, and be able to really tangibly experientially experience this love, this miraculous love of God?”

The key is by the Holy Spirit. So you cannot separate the love of God, the work of God’s love and the love of God from the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit, put this in your spirit, is the applicator, is the manifest is the distributor, the supplier.

Okay? Each time we are asking for His love, we are reaching out to God for love, do you know who supplies the love? The Holy Spirit. And Paul is acknowledging. Paul knows this. And he says, “By the love that the spirit will give to you.” So it means even true in intercession, for us to be truly in intercessors is the work of the Holy Spirit that is rooted in the love of God, the love that God gives you, the love that God works in you, dear friend.

And so if we are going to really know the love of God and be able to do the things that the love of God is going to energize, and empower, and anoint us to do, we really need to know how to experience this love on a daily basis to grow in this love as we’re going to find out here.

So that’s key number one. It is by the spirit. And so we have to cast ourselves upon the Spirit of God.

Okay? We have to rely on the Spirit. We have to look to the Spirit. Okay?

You don’t need to be like a spiritual orphan in a sense. God is your father. Jesus is your brother. He’s your friend. You are in the family, in the royal family of heaven. And my desire is that you will know this love deep within because the spirit of God is working work within your heart.

Okay? Let’s read Romans Chapter 5 verse 5. And this is from the Living Bible. Again, he says that,

“We are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well for we know how dearly God loves us.” Now, watch this. “And we feel the warmth of His love or we feel this warm love everywhere within us.”

I love that. He says we feel this warm love everywhere. You are experiencing. It’s not just intellectual knowledge that many believers have, but we can feel the love of God. We can be fascinated and exhilarated by the love of God because we feel it within us.

We feel it in our hearts and then it overflows into our being and every part of us. He says, “We can feel it everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit” Listen to this key, “Who fills our hearts with His love.” How does God feel you?

How do you experience this love?

Because the Holy Spirit is going to fill you with the love of God. He’s going to experience, to unlock, and reveal, and manifest and pour it out to you and he’s going to dump it on to you and all of a sudden all selfishness and all this sense of, you know, like you’re an orphan, you don’t belong, and low self-esteem, and the poor self-image that most of us have all of a sudden it dissipates.

It’s dissolved. Why? Because now you are being filled and you know from within that you are loved by the most important person that authored love. You are known, you are loved, and from that moment, you have that true sense of belonging because the spirit of God has shed abroad.

Another version says the King James that the spirit of God has shed abroad the love of God in your heart, in my heart. I remember when God first called me into the ministry. There are many places, many villages that I had to walk miles upon miles to go preach to these people.

You know, in my natural me, I didn’t want to do that. I don’t want to pay that price. I don’t want to do all those things. Why walk 20 miles, go to preach people I’ve never met? I don’t know them. I don’t know who they… Why should I care?” The love of God touched me, 1986. It melted my heart for the lost.

It melted my heart for people who did not know Jesus. From that moment on, dear friend… I was 14 years old. From that moment, it did not matter. I was fascinated and my mission was to take the gospel to anybody, every family, anywhere that, you know… Even at school, I preached, you know, and revivals broke out for some of you that have read my book, “Working the Works of God.”

And other more testimonies on in my new book, “Catch and Release God’s Supernatural.” All are results of God’s love. And I remember back when God spoke to me and He said, “Andrew, that miracles are proof of my love.” Now, I want you to put this in your spirit. God’s miracles, they are proof of His love. Okay? How come?

Because God has done everything by His love, through love, through His son, Jesus Christ, so you can have a new life. John 10:10 tells us that

“He came to give us life and life in His fullness and life more abundantly.”

It’s not only the spiritual life, but it’s the Zoe, it’s the all-encompassing life, it’s the life of God, life that Jesus gives by the Spirit. How do we experience that? Through the inner working of the spirit of God working in us. Okay, dear friend.

So, because of that love, this is how we experience love, okay? By the Spirit shedding abroad in our hearts the love of God. So you don’t need to be crying, and wailing, and weeping, and begging God for love. He has given you the Holy Spirit. And if you don’t know Jesus and you don’t know this love, today you’re going to have an opportunity to know the author of love, the one who loves you so much that He’ll give Jesus in your name and in your place.

You know, a few weeks ago, my family and I are doing a Bible study at home through the Apologia Bible study book, you know, for children and my children, you know, they’re 5, 6, 9, and 10. You know, then as we are reading these next verses that we’re going to read here, they began to ask me, “But daddy, what does that mean, that God loves us so much and He gave His son and now because He loved us, you know, we know His love because of Jesus, now we ought to lay down our lives.”

They were perplexed by the fact that, “What does it mean? Are we supposed to die?” You know, like Jesus did. So I had to explain to them,

“Well, some people have lost their lives because of Jesus, because they believed and trusted Jesus, but we get to experience this love and then we get to love others because He first loved us.”

So this love transforms us. We go through a love transformation from the people we were, from the selfish kind of, you know, self-centered, self-seeking people to people that have God’s heart now because now the Holy Spirit who lives in us is continuously consistently, you know, baptizing us, infusing us, immersing us, saturating us, and releasing a fresh and a new like Paul tells us that we can actually even feel it everywhere within us the love of God.

Okay? And so we go through this love transformation. First John Chapter 4 verse 17 from the NIV says, “This is how love is made complete.” This is how. “Among us so that we will have confidence on the Day of Judgment. We will not be ashamed.”

If Jesus showed up right now, we are prepared. We are not ashamed on the Day of Judgment. But listen to this. “In this world, we are like Jesus.” Another version says that, “As Jesus is, so are we in this world.” Okay. So Jesus’ mission, and this is the mission of the church.

This is the mission of Christianity, really is to be… We are loved by God so we can love the world. You know, that’s why, you know, I’m preaching the gospel to you tonight, it’s because God has loved me and I love you. And He sends me to love you. He sends me to share the gospel, to broadcast it everywhere, to tell others about this miraculous love that you and I can experience at any time.

You know, you don’t have to pay for it. You don’t have to do anything. You don’t have to do any ritual. There is no price to you. What it requires is your faith in Jesus Christ. Okay? So this love transforms us.

The Bible just told us that as Jesus is, so are we. How can we become like Jesus? Dear friend, it is simple but profound, by the Holy Spirit, by the mighty working of the Spirit of God.

We can look to the Holy Spirit. We can ask the Holy Spirit day in and day out to help us, to revive us, to renew us, to equip us, to shed abroad the love of God. Every moment you feel like you are not as close as to God as you should be lean to the Holy Spirit because he’s there to really bring Jesus into your life and it into your world and make him real, make him tangible to you, make him really visible to you, so to speak, in every aspect of our lives.

You know, that’s what the Holy Spirit is here to do. He’s here to glorify Jesus. So the love transformation that we go through transforms us into the image of Jesus Christ. So we can act like him. We can talk like him. We can love like him. And I’m telling you, if we’ll cast ourselves upon the Holy Spirit to equip us, transform us, change our lives, we can be lovers of God, but also true lovers of people.

God loves people. Everything that God did even with creation is because He loved us. He created everything and then He made man in His own image after His own likeness. And what did He say? He said, “Everything is good.” And He said, “Man, now you are in charge. I want you to enjoy it.” Because He loves people.

He’s not against people. He’s not against us. He’s for us. So my desire tonight is that you shift from struggle to success in your Christian work, in your life because there is one that loves you.

One that sticks closer than a brother, and his name is Jesus. So before I land this plane here, before I finish, I want to give you some application for this. Now, you know how you receive and experience the love of God? By the Spirit of God.

You know, so Jesus, his desire is that so as He is, so are you in this world and this love, it begins by loving God, okay? And then loving yourself correctly. You need to love yourself correctly. And if you don’t know, and if you… You cannot dislike yourself in one way or the other. Ask the Holy Spirit to do a work in your heart so you love yourself correctly and see yourself the way God sees you so you can accept yourself who you are that you are perfect for God, you are perfect for Him, in Him.

You are perfect. Doesn’t matter where you were born. You know, doesn’t matter your background. Doesn’t matter where you are right now. He’s got a destiny. He’s got a plan for you and you are perfect, dear friend, for Him in His love because you’re crafted by the love of God. Okay?

And then this love, as it transforms you, it brings you to love your neighbors and love your world. Okay? Remember the story I told you about, you know, my study with my children at home, you know, this is the Scripture that we’re going to go through a few verses here that we read and they were like, “Wow.”

You know, in First John Chapter 4 verse 9, verse 8 and 9, and then we’re going to read 16 to 20 here before we go off the air here, before we are out of time here.

“But if a person isn’t loving and kind, it shows that he doesn’t know God for God is love.”

Did you hear that?

That if a person is not loving, is not kind, he does not know God because God is love. God showed how much He loved us by sending His only son into this wicked world to bring to us eternal life through his death. In this act, we see what real love is. It is not our love for God, but His love for us when He sent His son to satisfy God’s anger against our sins.

Dear friend, did you hear it? It wasn’t because we first loved God. It was because God loved us. Okay? Verse 16, “We know how much God loves us because we have felt His love.” You can feel the love of God. It’s not just enough to intellectually know the love of God. You can feel the love of God.

“We have felt this love because we believe Him when He tells us that He loves us dearly. God is love. And anyone who lives in love is living in God and God is living in him.” Did you hear that? If you live in love, you are living in God and God lives in you. Okay? “And as we live with Christ, our love grows more perfect and complete so we will not be ashamed and embarrassed at the day of judgment but confess him with confidence and with joy because He loves us and we love him too.”

Verse 18,

“We need not have fear for someone who loves us perfectly. His perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what He might do to us.”

You see, that’s why some people don’t know the love of God, because we are always afraid, you know, “Is God happy with me? Is God delighted with me?” You know, when somebody gets sick, you say, “Well maybe because I have sin in my life. Maybe God is not delighted with me.”

No. God is not going to put sickness on you to teach you something. I don’t believe that. You know, sickness, the Bible tells me, is of the devil, you know? But God will help us through our infirmities. He will be with us, okay? He will be with us through trials and tribulation.

You know, His love is for us. His love is there to bring us into the image of Jesus Christ. “It is for fear of what He might do to us and shows that we are not fully convinced that He really loves us. So you see, our love for Him comes as a result of His loving us first.”

Verse 20,

“If anyone says I love God but keeps on hating His brother, he’s a liar for he does not love his brother who is right there in front of him. How can He love God whom he has never seen and God Himself has said that one must love not only God but his brother”

Dear friend, that’s why this love transformation takes you now from you being me-centered to outward-centered where you’re loving God and you’re loving yourself and now you are loving the world around you. You’re praying for your world and you’re giving into the ministry of Jesus Christ so that the gospel of Jesus Christ will go forth.

As a matter of fact, you know, before I finish this broadcast, you know, I’m going to ask you to ask God to work a work in your heart so you can, you know, give into the spreading of the gospel even through this ministry. You can, you know, partner with us.

You can just pray for us. We want to hear from you that you’re praying for us and that you have been motivated by the love of God to give because you want to give not because, you know, you are coerced into giving, not because you are coerced into praying, but because your love for the souls, your love for people to hear a message like this around the world, you are being touched by the love of God.

Amen. And so there is information on your screen. You know, write to us, what, you know, we would love to hear your prayer request. We would love to pray for you. Send us your prayer request. Go on our website, you know, partner with us and give into this ministry to continue spreading this love. We are all about sharing the gospel of redemption, telling people what Christ has done in their name and in their place.

And we invite you to be a part of that. Okay? If we see people in the world without Christ and we do nothing, we don’t have love, but if we do something, we have love. So before I finish, I want to invite you, you who’s watching, and you do not know Jesus as your Lord and savior. The Bible says in Romans Chapter 10 verse 9 and 10,

“For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your own heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in His heart that a man becomes right with God.”

It’s by when you believe in your heart, you become right with God, and when you confess with your mouth that you are saved. So would you pray this prayer with me today?

Prayer To Invite Jesus Into Your Life
